just got back and only 14 players this time
think only 1 player went out before the 1st break,all very tight with most raises being folded,,was sitting in seat 5 with my mate ben in seat 3 and mcgin(another online colleague) in seat 6..
1st hand after the break i raise with a/q and mcgin is all in as he is fairly short stacked,,he turns over k/k ,flop doesnt help but turn gives me the ace ,sorry mate,,,
then fairly quickly we hit final table.....i am bb with j8 and manage to see the flop with 2 other players,board shows j/6/7 and i raise, caller folds and sb raises all in with a call for me of a couple of hundred and he turns over j6 turn is a 5 and i am praying for 4 or 9 but another 7 hits on flop.....
this leaves me with about 1800 chips with blinds now 400/800,
couple of hands later i have pocket 7`s and go all in ,,bb calls with k/10,,
flop is 8/8/8 .turn k and river doesnt help,,out in 7th...
was really pleased with my game today,made some good judgement raises and folds...

uk football fans forum had a 1st birthday bash with a trip to see man utd play newcastle as the prize,,completely card dead in this which was a shame..
and i recently joined the raisetheriver forum who have a bloggerment game each sunday with a $5 buy-in,finished 1st,amazing really,had real crap cards to start with until about halfway through the game and then just couldnt do anything wrong,rare games they are

anyway poker has been a bit up and down,,just cant the run going at mo,but it will come,my second sponsored game was a bit of a downer,it was a £10 re-buy with a £5 bounty chip,i was card dead from the off and when i did get a hand i got donked,my A/Q got beat by A/J,then i split pot when my A/K was matched,my losing hand was Q/Q i got called by A/Q and A/10,1st card on flop was an ACE, doh!!!!!!!!
last night burnleyjoe rang me to see if i could play his $50k guaranteed for him so said yes and finished 24th for $400

A box will then come up called 'Displayed location' This is the space for you to type in the football team you are representing.
Tick the third box down marked either 'Football Team' or 'Other location' (depending on when you downloaded the software). Either way, type in the football team you are representing in the leagues, then click save changes.
Now whenever another player clicks on your name when you are sitting at the table, the team you are representing will be shown. More importantly though, is that you can find out what team every other player is representing by clicking on them.

last night was the 1st uk gambling forum league freeroll on pokernordica.
42 started with 5 being paid,,,unfortunately we had some gatecrashers as the password was passed around to 8 people who shouldn`t have had it,but hopefully that won`t happen in future games.

busy night yet again

Alan,
I have confirmed that $2,000 has been deposited into your Pokersatellites account. The prize package is $6500 in WSOP buy-ins as well as $2,000 travel money. The company that set up the tournament put the wrong amount on the tournament lobby. You can visit Pokersatellites.com to see the correct amount of the promotion. I am sorry about the confusion regarding the prize package amount. Unfortunately this was out of our control.
You will be staying at the Rio Hotel and Casino, site of the WSOP. Your room is included in the prize package providing you wear Pokersatellites gear while participating in the tournaments. I will be there personally to buy you into the three tournaments and secure your lodging.
If you should make it to the second day of any of the three tournaments, you will have the option of receiving the cash equivalent for the following day’s tournament or you can be entered into another tournament with the same buy-in amount.
When you arrive at the Rio on the 14th of June, go to the Hotel lobby and call me on my mobile phone so that I can get you the room key and make arrangements to meet you the following day to buy you into the Friday tournament. Please print this e-mail and take it with you to Vegas.

punters lounge scottish poker championships
punters lounge laid on the 1st qualifier for the scottih poker championships,which was a heads up tourney..
28 entries and every-one a cracking player,
i got a bye in the 1st round and actually ended up winning the whole thing for $70 .

tonight is leg 1 of 20 for an opportunity to win a cruise with ladbrokes in january 2008,

finished 2nd in pl mtt league and last night hit the final table in poker league finishing 9th,so in the last week i have had 2 x 2nd`s and 2 more final tables,seem to have hit some decent form just lately,,so far this year over $2000 in winnings

doing good playing for joe again
had a phone call the other day from burnley joe asking if i could play the mansion $100k for him,
of course i said yes and finished 24th i think for the sum of $650,joe split 50/50 so this has paid for a weeks holiday for me and the missus.....
always seem to play well for other people,definately need to do this for myself..
and last night on pokersatellites mini-me (my youngest son) reached the final table and then he had to go to bed so i carried on for him and finished 2nd for $19.50,will split with him

absolute poker for burnley joe
got a phone call from joe asking me to play his $100,000 guaranteed bounty tourney for him.
he said i could have half of whatever i win,so with over 600 players and 3 professional players inc. mark seif,it was gonna be tough,....there was a bounty of $500 for 1 pro,$1k for 2 or $5k for all 3....the top 54 get paid
after 3 hours play i was in with 15 still in after some very tight play and i hit pocket aces,diamond and hearts,with 45000 chips and sitting 13/15 i go all in,get 1 caller with pocket fives,spades and clubs..
the flop came down club, club, spade..
turn, club...
and the poxy river came down as a club as well to give him the flush...grrrrrrrrrrrrr
anyway i won $1100, which for me will be $550..the biggest win i have made so far

the year so far
it has been a good start to the year so far,especially last night when deposited $20 into stan james and to get the 10 raked hands for tonights game i went onto omaha hi/lo 50c/$1 and ended up with $103,gonna have to start playing more cash tables methinks
